Why Professional Photos Matter
I’m a professional real estate agent. I am not a photographer. I don’t have the correct lighting, camera or lenses to take quality photos of my listings. That’s why I always hire a professional. People start their home search online. There’s this thing called the internet. Photos of your home will be everywhere. If the photos are dark, or make your home look like a small cave, many people will just keep scrolling. Here are some examples. I took some photos with my phone and compared them to the photos my photographer took. This home was on the market with a different agent for over 6 months!! The photos were ok, but not great. Take a look. The photos on the left were taken by me, the ones on the right were taken by a pro.
Within 2 weeks we had received an offer. In the middle of winter. when everyone says its slow. 16 families attended the open house on a freezing New England afternoon. Professional photos matter. But many agents are won’t hire a professional, yet they expect you to hire a professional to represent them in the sale of their home. Hmmm…..
Your home is probably your most valuable asset. It should be showcased online. The longer a home sits on the market, the less money it will sell for. Don’t waste your time or money with amateurs.
