How’s the Rhode Island real estate market? Of course the answer is always, “The market is AWESOME!!”
As of June 15, 2017, inventory is down, prices are up and things are selling fast. There are only 2793 single family homes on the market. That’s down about 30% from last year. The average days on the market is 72, which is down from approximately 90 days last year. The median home price is $245,500, and that’s about 11% higher than last year.
So what does this mean for you? If you currently own your home and have been thinking about moving, now’s a great time. If you price your home reasonably, and hire an agent that will aggressively promote your home, it will sell quickly and for top dollar. If you want to get an idea of what your home is worth, just click here and I’ll send you a custom report. No strings.
If you are renting and thinking about buying, you need to work with an agent that will go to bat for you. Many homes are selling over asking price, with multiple offers. So how do you win the bidding war? It comes down to making a strong offer. Its not necessarily the highest bid that wins. So you really need to have a knowledgeable agent in your corner. Here’s an article from my blog that might help. Call me if you have any questions, or you’re frustrated by the market.
